From the Santa Catalina Mts., Arizona
Mostly Looking Toward Other Southern Arizona Ranges

Most of these photos taken in the Santa Catalina Mts. were shot at
an elevation of around 6,500 feet looking toward other southern Arizona
ranges. These include the Rincon, Santa Rita and Tucson Mts. as well as
the more distant Quinlan, Roskruge, Galiuro, Pinaleno and Silverbell Mts.
They are heavily backlit, at either dawn or sunset, to intentionally create
images with little detail but lots of bold, simple elegance. The last three
photos, which are more traditional, were also taken in the Catalinas but
focus more on the Catalinas themselves rather than distant ranges.
