This photo was taken at sunrise,
about half-way up the Catalina Mts. near Tucson,
looking east. The closest (darkest)
mountain is
actually the north end of the Rincons, and
beyond that, the Galiuros and
Pinalenos.
Natural backlighting from the early-morning sun
and a 300mm lens for zooming in on these distant
"stacked ridges" created an almost surreal
image, but that's pretty much the
way it looked before any editing. |
