Other Subjects

My book Ruins Seldom Seen combines the subjects of hiking

and archaeology. Basically, every hike ends at an ancient pueblo,

cliff dwelling or rock art site in Arizona, Utah or New Mexico.

This web page has basic information, but for

more details please visit my other website at

www.RuinsSeldomSeen.com

The other website not only has more information,

it features many cool photos of prehistoric

archaeological sites throughout the Southwest.

2nd Edition Is Hot Off the Press!

Ruins Seldom Seen was originally published in 1999. In 2010 Falcon Press asked if I could revise the book. I said, "Um...well, sure why not?" So in spring 2011 it was re-released with a spiffy new cover, new format, and of course revised information. This includes updated route descriptions for every hike (yes, I re-took every hike to see first-hand what has changed). Additionally, the second edition has five all-new hikes in Arizona and Utah that are not in the first edition.

Ruins Seldom Seen is available in major bookstores and many outdoor stores like REI. It's also available from online sources including the publisher's website at www.GlobePequot.com.
