Ash Creek, Central Arizona
There are many Ash Creeks in Arizona. This one meanders through the
Prescott National Forest, along with some private land and a bit of State
Trust land, before finally reaching Agua Fria National Monument where
the creek ultimately feeds into the Agua Fria River. There usually isn't much
water in Ash Creek but every fall the Ash, Cottonwood and Sycamore trees
turn colors, making it worth a visit. As far as I know there are no established
trails along Ash Creek so you can wander in complete solitude, except
for hawks, ravens, javelina and friendly horses asking for treats.
