Apache Lake, Arizona
Apache Lake is one of four reservoirs along Arizona's Salt
River (all are upriver from Phoenix). This lake in the Arizona
desert is my favorite of all the Salt River lakes because it's
the most remote (and thus least visited), accessible only
after miles of driving on the unpaved Apache Trail.

(also see web page for Roosevelt Lake, Canyon Lake
and Saguaro Lake, which are also on the Salt River)
